Red Bull Sailing Team on KTM

The Red Bull Extreme Sailing team is happy to rely on KTM power! For all stops of the Extreme Sailing Series Europe, the double-Olympic champions Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher (both AUT) as well as the international crew use motorbikes and quad bikes provided by the Austrian manufacturer.


The skipper Roman Hagara (AUT) commented: “I am crazy about speed and I want to get from A to B in no time. At the racing site, this is perfectly possible with the latest 690 Enduro produced by KTM.”

“Ready to race. We can now experience the same power ashore that we are used to having on the water with our 20-metre high boat,” explained the tactician Hans Peter Steinacher (AUT).

David Vera, the bowman from Spain said that after two days on the bike, he had also ordered a KTM for his hometown in Lanzarote, adding: “There is a high potential for addiction.”

The trimmer Gabriele Olivo (ITA) said: “On the water, our 100% carbon-fibre boat is the eye-catcher for thousands of spectators lined up along the racing tracks. Compared to the other teams, we are now also perfectly equipped ashore. KTM stands for quality, and this is exactly what we need day after day.”
