NZL Sailing Team is to join the fast-paced world of Stadium Racing as a wildcard for Act 1. The second of two youth Kiwi teams alongside Tawera Racing, the NZL Sailing Team crew is using the Series to gain experience in the high-performance world of foiling multihull sailing.

Skipper Logan Dunning Beck boasts the recent accomplishment of being the 2016 Weymouth Sailing World Cup champion in the 49er. His Skiff accomplishments have gone from strength to strength since coming second in the 2015 49er & 49erFX Oceania Championships then going on to win the Sailing World Cup in Melbourne in the same year. Last year, Logan also crewed for RNZYS Lautrec racing in the Sydney Act of the 2016 Series, his knowledge of the Series will be vital to lead his crew in Muscat.

Hull was a crew member of 36 Below Racing match racing team alongside Team Tawera Skipper, Chris Steele. The National Match Racing champion also holds numerous speed records, as part of the Orma 60 Vodafone Sailing Team. Most notably setting the Auckland to Fiji Race Record, averaging 20knots the whole way.

ISAF Youth gold medalist, Isaac is new to the Series but comes with a strong background including 5 national championships, one Youth America’s Cup campaign and two podium finishes in the ISAF Youth Worlds.

Expert Laser sailor, Kempkers has a strong sailing background, coming second in the Laser Radail National Championships and fourth in the 2016 National Championships. Kempkers is also part of the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup team and came fifth in the Red Bull Foiling Generation.

Brown has competed in a range of classes including the GC32 in the 2016 Sydney Act of the Series, the 420, TP52 and Optimist. He has successfully balanced his numerous sailing achievements, including his Youth America’s Cup campaign, with completing his civil engineering degree with honours. His diverse experience and knowledge will be hugely resourceful to the team throughout Act 1 in Muscat.
