The second boat in the Oman Sail stable, The Wave, Muscat is supported by the leading lifestyle development just north of the Sultanate’s capital city. The Wave, Muscat made its first appearance on the Extreme Sailing Series circuit in Hong Kong for the first event of the inaugural Asian tour. The talented crew gelled fast, improving their results throughout the tour, finishing second overall.

About the Skipper

Former 49er Olympic sailor Paul Campbell-James has been a participant on the circuit since his first campaign with Conrad Humphreys in 2007. He has proved incisive on the race course and clearly enjoys pushing the Extreme 40, often flying a hull in spectacular fashion! ‘CJ’ is also an experienced match racer, which makes him aggressive on the starts.

About the Team

The Wave, Muscat has confirmed that Omani crew, Khamis Al Anbouri, who has been training hard to join the operational team, will join the circuit as bowman for 2010. In addition to ex-Shirley Robertson crew, Nick Hutton, The Wave, Muscat will see the return to the class of talented Alister Richardson, originally with 2007 Extreme 40 Series winner Basilica and then TEAMAQUA in 2008.
