The stage is set, the sailors are ready, the waters of Lake Garda await. The World class fleet of hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans is due to fly into battle this afternoon in a bid to take the first official World Championship title.

The Extreme Sailing Series teams are ready for the fight – and there are a lot of teams to fight off. 13 boats are due to fly off the start line this afternoon in an epic struggle for the coveted title.

As the wind fills in, an expected forecast of 10-14kts is sure to make this quite a spectacle, with the teams speeding around the Lake in front of the dramatic backdrop of Northern Italy.
