You don’t have to know your bed-sheet from your jib-sheet to enjoy the action at Act 3 of the Extreme Sailing Series™ in Cardiff, the free to enter public Race Village has something for everyone. With a mix of thrilling on-the-water entertainment and a huge range of on-shore activities, Cardiff Bay is the place to be from 24 – 26 June 2016.

The fleet of brand new hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans will make their UK debut with the Series, and Cardiff will pull out all the stops to ensure that the entertainment on Saturday and Sunday does not disappoint. The iconic Welsh venue has seen huge crowds turn out for the festivities year-on-year, and promises a great atmosphere.

As well as offering front row seats to the on-water action, the Race Village will have a host of fun activities both on and off the shore. As our sailing expert, Mark ‘Corky’ Rhodes, commentates live on the sailing action, why not go for a spin at the Go Kart Party or get an exclusive view of Cardiff Bay from the top of the climbing wall.

Cardiff International White Water Centre will offer the opportunity to try canoeing, with the chance to win a trip to their premier water sports centre, while Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre are bringing along Laser Blast and Eliptigos, a stand-up bike, for you to have a go.

On top of all the sailing action, a few of the local Welsh sports teams will be paying a visit, giving you the opportunity to try your hand at their sports. Give it your best shot with the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team’s shooting cage or the Cardiff Blues’ rugby ball target, and try the Glamorgan Cricket Experience.

And if all of the excitement leaves you feeling famished, pay a visit one of the mouthwatering food stalls; including Greek, Indian and classic burgers, and then grab a drink from the retro airstream bar to wash it all down.

For a taste of the action onboard the GC32 from the perspective of the world-class sailors, fans on shore can try the 360 virtual GC32 sailing experience. If all of that is not enough, other activities include the high-energy BMX demonstrations by Team Extreme. live music on the Saturday and Sunday, and stalls from the Royal Yachting Association, Nacra 15 class, Oman Air and Marine Foundation.
