Team México - 2018 (MEX)

A wildcard entry in Act 8 of the Extreme Sailing Series™ 2017, Team México will be taking on the full Series challenge this year. The crew’s roster includes some of Mexico’s best sailing talent in Skipper Erik Brockmann - a J70 World Champion and once ranked top 10 in the world in the Optimist - and Bowman Danel Belausteguigoitia Fierro. The Mexican pair are complemented by their helm - Tom Phipps of the British Sailing Team - alongside fellow Brits Alex Higby and Tom Buggy, who take the Mainsail and Headsail respectively.

On a mission to grow the sport of sailing in Mexico, the team has big ambitions. Competing against Olympic gold medallists and America’s Cup champions this year, this team is one to watch.
