Swiss sailing legends Alinghi have today officially announced their entry into the 2018 Extreme Sailing Series™, marking their eighth season in the ultimate Stadium Racing Championship.

Extreme Sailing Series™ owners and organisers OC Sport have once again teamed up with global TV sports producer and distributor, Sunset+Vine, to distribute all news, live digital and broadcast coverage of the 2018 Extreme Sailing Series™.

Following a highly successful first year, the Flying Phantom Series is set to lift-off alongside the Extreme Sailing Series™ once again in 2018, providing even more high-speed racing for fans around the world.

OC Sport, owner and organiser of the Extreme Sailing Series™, is thrilled to announce an extension of their technology sponsorship with German software giant SAP, for a further four years. The renewal of the sponsorship will see the partnership reach a decade, as together the Series and SAP continue to push the boundaries to transform the sport of sailing for fans, media and sailors.

The 2018 Extreme Sailing Series™ is ready to fly for the 12th consecutive year, with the announcement today by Series organisers OC Sport of a global tour that will visit eight major cities on three continents.

Behind the scenes of the fast-paced Extreme Sailing Series™ is a hard-working, tight-knit team of uniquely interesting individuals. One such character is Tom Buggy, a super-talented windsurfer and an expert in all things foiling.

Danish-flagged SAP Extreme Sailing Team was crowned champion of the 2017 Extreme Sailing Series™, while Alinghi took home the Act 8, Los Cabos, presented by SAP trophy, in an electrifying season finale.

As the Extreme Sailing Series™ made its debut in Mexico this week in Los Cabos, Team Extreme México has made history as the first-ever Mexican team with the first-ever Mexican sailors on board in the 11-years of the Series.
